#5: Puddles vs. Shasta the Cougar
The only college football game my wife ever attended was this one, between the Ducks and the Houston Cougars at Autzen Stadium in 2007. Since that day, her take on the sport is “more mascot fighting, less football.”
My favorite part of this video is at the end when Puddles is walking away and he kicks the megaphone. One last “F you” to his enemy.

There are only two reasons a college student would be awake before dawn on a Saturday. Either they just closed down a bar and they’re on their way home to crash, or Chris, Kirk, Lee and Erin are in town.

#21: Walking to Autzen Stadium from campus.
If you don’t have a parking spot at Autzen Stadium, don’t worry. Head to the other side of the Willamette River, park on (or near) campus and enjoy the walk.
You’ll cross the Willamette via the Autzen Footbridge. While you’re on the bridge take in the spectacular view and if it’s an early-season game, marvel at the piles of rocks in the river. Who put them there? Perhaps we’ll never know.
The best part of the walk is rounding a corner on Pre’s Trail and all of a sudden, there’s Autzen in all its glory.
After a long offseason, it’s like seeing an old friend.
Three weeks to go. We’re almost there.

The Sooner Schooner. The Ramblin’ Wreck. Tommy Trojan and Traveler. Ralphie. War Eagle. Chief Osceola.
Not bad. Not bad.
But our mascot is a giant duck. And he rides into Autzen Stadium on a freakin’ Harley.
We win.

1. It’s crazy how relaxed and calm these guys are. And they’re just kids. Amazing.
